In 2025, the City of Dawson Creek worked alongside partners to install PurpleAir sensors at City facilities. There are also PurpleAir sensors located at Rotary Manor, our local seniors care facility.

The Province of BC offers an Energy Savings Program for BC citizens who live in an eligible home, meet income qualification requirements, and have residential utility accounts with BC Hydro, FortisBC, or municipal utility.

Local Government Climate Action Program (LGCap)

The Local Government Climate Action Program (LGCap) provides funding and resources to help communities reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve local climate resilience. In Dawson Creek, LGCap supports initiatives such as energy-efficiency upgrades, renewable energy projects, and programs that help governments save energy and reduce costs.
