Planning and Development

Planning and Development at the City of Dawson Creek oversees the Official Community Plan and the Zoning Bylaw. This department is responsible for reviewing and processing permit applications and making sure that all development within city limits follows our bylaws.

Bylaws

• The Official Community Plan guides future land use within city limits. It helps City Council make decisions around zoning changes.

• The Zoning Bylaw determines which types of land use are permitted inside each city zone.
