Dawson Creek wins Silver in GamesTown2010 Contest

GamesTown 2010 VideoDawson Creek has been awarded silver in the GamesTown 2010 competition. As a result, Dawson Creek will receive $50,000 to put towards the upgrade of a sport or healthy living facility.

Dawson Creek Rage Hockey Team Launches in 2010

It's Official – The DC Rage Are Moving Ahead!

Today marks a pivotal day in Junior Hockey in Dawson Creek with the DC Rage Hockey Society announcing that they have officially joined the North American Hockey League (NAHL) and will play their first game starting in September 2010. The recruitment of a general manager and hockey operations begins immediately.

"After three years plus, I am excited to say we finally made it!" said Pat Rorison, co-founder of the group that brought the financial backing together to get the team going. "Many people have worked hard to bring a franchise to Dawson Creek and are excited about bringing Junior “A” hockey back to our community." Read the entire press release

CALVIN KRUK CENTRE FOR THE ARTS TRUST FUND

Anyone wishing to donate funds to the Calvin Kruk Centre for the Arts Trust Fund may do so by contacting Community Futures Peace Liard or Terri Hanen at KPAC.   All  donee's will receive a charitable receipt for their donation that can be claimed on their income tax. Proceeds for this fund will go towards the building of an Arts & Cultural Centre in Dawson Creek.   To make a donation, please contact Community Futures at 250.782.8748, Terri Hanen at KPAC at 250.782.9325 or download the donation form and mail with a cheque to:
